Studying here in Adelaide can be very stressful. I do struggle working part time while going to college and most of the time it really burns me out. I always feel tired most of the time during the day and cannot seem to sleep early at night. I figured I have been drinking too much coffee just to cope with the sluggishness I feel in the morning. I tried cutting back on coffee but that only made things worst. I cannot focus and I feel grumpy without it. I decided to take relaxing more seriously and to get more sleep during the night, but it was easier said than done. I tried drinking chamomile tea to ease my nerves but it did not seem to help me at all. I tried the usual stuff as well like taking a warm shower and drinking milk, but again it did not help. Out of desperation, I decided to browse the net for some solution. I found an article stating that music therapy could help. So I gave it a try since compared to other alternatives, this one was relatively safe. I started off listening to piano music but did not really find it as relaxing as I wanted it to be. Next, I tried listening to the violin but found it a little too distracting since I reminded me of the orchestra. Just when I was about to give up, I gave the flute music a try and surprisingly, it worked. I found myself able to sleep quickly and I was getting more and more relaxed when I wanted to unwind. I felt like I was in a serene place like a spa whenever I hear it. I wish I did it sooner. Now I wake up more energized and able to enjoy my student life here in Adelaide. additional resources
